7th Grade Science - Team 7-2

     Welcome to Team 7-2 Science!  My name is Mrs. Ungeheier this is my 4th year in the district and my 2nd year at Hillcrest. I am very excited to have your students join us on the 7-2 team at Hillcrest. In addition to hands-on lab practices, this year students will be challenged to work with chromebooks on Canvas.

Lesson plans & Assignments 

 All assignments and lessons are found on CANVAS. They are grouped by week and available in the Modules.  

 Materials needed: (Students will record observations, draw sketches, and take notes while working.

  • a composition/spiral notebook 
  • a pencil and pencil sharpener

 

Other recommended materials for in class:

  • tape or glue stick
  • highlighters
  • colored pencils, markers
  • 3x5 note cards for making flash cards

Mrs. Patricia Ungeheier

     I moved here from Southern California in 2009. I received my bachelor's degree from California Baptist University and my masters' degree from Grand Canyon University. I have lived in North Phoenix since 2010 with my husband and spend my free time throwing pottery on my pottery wheel in my garage studio space. 

     I am looking forward to getting to know my students this year! We will work hard and explore things that make science amazing! My favorite part of teaching science is watching a student work through a challenging concept or material and seeing them have a "lightbulb" moment. Helping students "discover the why" of how our world works is one of the best parts of teaching science. As we move through this year, I am excited to learn more about the awesome students in my classes and what makes them curious about the world around them.
