Mrs. Hollie Stafford

Hello!  I am excited for the opportunity to be your teacher this year!  I have been in the Deer Valley School District since 2002.  I spent te 13 years at  Legend Springs Elementary School teaching 6th grade math.   When the opportunity came up to transfer to Hillcrest in 2021, I jumped at the chance.   I received my Bachelor's in Public Administration from San Diego State University and a post baccalaureate teaching certificate from California State University Dominguez Hills.  After moving to Arizona in 2000, I earned a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arizona State University.  I truly love teaching and feel blessed to be in a position to help cultivate the love of learning in children.

I am thrilled to be part of the Falcon Family!  Although I love teaching, there are many other things that I am passionate about.  First and foremost is my family.  My husband Scott and I have been married for 28 years and we are the proud parents of Trent (26) and Tatum (24).  Trent and his new wife Huntyr live in Chandler, AZ so I get to them him often.  They also have two adorable French Bulldogs named Bear and Buzz.  Tatum graduated  from The University of Arizona in 2020 and is now traveling the world learning all about different cultures.  Currently, she is living and working in China with her boyfriend Charlie where they are both teaching English. We stay in touch almost daily through WeChat and I am looking forward to having her home for a month in January!  They are two amazing kids and being their mom has been my greatest accomplishment. 

In my spare time, I enjoy running, hiking, yoga, going to the gym, boating, skiing (water and snow) reading, and spending as much time as I can with friends and family.  In addition, my husband and I love to travel and make memories  by exploring places we've never been. 

I am looking forward to a great year in seventh grade
