Mrs. Janes

Welcome to my class!  My name is Mrs. Janes and I am pleased to be returning to ELA.  My experience includes 20 plus years of teaching grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 7 in Deer Valley.  I hold a K-8 Elementary Education Certificate with an emphasis in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership including a Principal Certification, and an ELA Middle School, ELL, and Early Childhood Endorsement.    
 
My husband and I have lived in Arizona for over 40 years!  I graduated from Barry Goldwater, ASU and NAU.  I have a son, Nathan, a dog, Sparky, and three cats.  I enjoy reading and hiking in my free time.  

I want to make sure that I meet the needs of all children and provide every opportunity for their success.  If you have any questions throughout the year about your child’s education, please email me at melissa.janes@dvusd.org to set up an appointment.  I am available not only at conferences, but throughout the year.
