Creative Publications - 8th Grade only - Morning announcement class, yearbook and school news

Exploratory Options - Two Semester classes designed for students to explore new interests.  Students will get two of the following options:  

     - Career Action Lab - Medical Paxton Patterson Career Lab 

        Paired with Project Math or Project Science

     - Performance and Literary Works (Drama) paired with Art 

Mandarin 1-2H and 3-4H - *Only for students who attended the Desert Sage Mandarin Immersion Program.

Physical Education

STEM - Gateway to Technology with an engineering focus.

Spanish 1-2H and Spanish 3-4H-  High school credit class (Students in Rennaisance are eligible to take Spanish 1-2H in 7th grade and Spanish 3-4H in 8th grade).  All other students at Hillcrest are eligible to take Spanish 1-2H in 8th grade if they meet the academic requirements.  

Teachers Assistant - Work in the counseling office, main office, library and serve as peer tutors for Math.  8th grade only and students must have good grades, attendance, and grades to be eligible.
